Sebastian is a candidate architect. He recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Sustainable Architecture and Landscape Design from the Politecnico di Milano in Italy (with distinction). He completed his undergraduate degree in Architectural Studies at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, where he also completed a year studying Natural Science. Upon completing his Bachelors he worked at Richlabs Architecture firm in Johannesburg, working predominantly on a large project converting office and light industrial buildings into new loft apartments in Braamfontein.

Sebastian’s interests in the Architectural field are diverse, spanning from residential and commercial architecture to Urban Design and Landscape. His thesis spanned these disciplines, imagining a new urban regional park system to remediate the sequence of “Lost Landscapes” left behind by the mining industry in Johannesburg, South Africa. The project took the form of a research-based theoretical design framework, drawing inspiration from Landscape Urbanism, Ecology, Regional planning and Industrial Reuse.
