This Victorian Villa dates back to 1904 and occupies a large, steeply sloping site spanning two roads. In order to create a better relationship between the house and its surroundings, we designed a series of strategic interventions in the garden.
A series of low terraces were introduced to allow a visual connection to a large pepper tree at the top of the site, indigenous planting and a swimming pool. In addition, we completely redesigned the loft bedroom that was added in 1997. Dormer windows were transformed into square French style dormers to better frame the views and to create a contemporary plywood interior.
